Quality Control & Assurance Officer

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring and Inspection of finished goods, materials, and processes to ensure that products, materials, and services meet established quality standards and specifications.
• Verify material and product quantities, quality for compliance with specifications required on the purchase order.
• Maintaining detailed records of inspections, identifying defects or deviations from quality standards or required specifications.
• Monitoring the effectiveness of existing processes and making recommendations for improvements to enhance overall purchase standards.
• Convey data trends, non-compliance issues, defects, results, and potential implications of quality control (QC) data to stakeholders.
• Design quality assurance (QA) policies and enforce compliance to prevent issues leading to poor product quality.
• Determine the extent of the department’s control over quality deviations.
• Establish operational, analytical, and documentation standards aligned with industry best practices and company policies.
• Introduce industry best practices and trends in quality control and inspection methods.
• Oversee QC tasks, ensuring proper documentation of records and review of reports submitted to stakeholders.

Requirements:

• BSc/OND/HND in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification 
• Knowledge of SON/SONCAP procedures and relevant standards for LPG cylinders (e.g., ISO 4706, EN 1442)
• Minimum 2–3 years in a quality control role, preferably in a gas, metal fabrication or pressure vessel manufacturing environment. 
• Proficient in the use of measuring and testing instruments. 
• Strong knowledge of welding inspection and pressure testing. 
• Good analytical, documentation, and reporting skills. 
• Attention to detail and strong understanding of quality assurance systems.
