Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- QMS: Implement and maintain an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
- QC Oversight: Manage incoming, in-process, and final inspections for extrusion, armoring, and jacketing lines
- Testing: Ensure conductor resistance, HV, IR, tensile, and dimensional tests are done per standard
- Compliance: Ensure all products meet IEC 60228, IEC 60502, BS 5467, and SON requirements
- Documentation: Prepare COCs, test certificates, and maintain QA/QC records
- Problem Solving: Investigate non-conformities, customer complaints, and implement CAPA
- Team Leadership: Supervise and train QA/QC inspectors and lab technicians
- Continuous Improvement: Track KPIs and reduce defects, rework, and waste
Requirements:
- B.Eng /B.Sc in Electrical Engineering, Materials/Polymer Science, or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of QA/QC experience in a cable manufacturing company
- Hands-on experience with PVC, XLPE, LSZH cable production and lab testing
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, good reporting skills, leadership, and attention to detail
- Internal Auditor training, Six Sigma
