Production Surpervisor

Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily production activities to ensure output meets quality, quantity, and delivery targets.
• Plan, organize, and coordinate production schedules to maximize efficiency.
• Monitor production processes and implement improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste.
• Ensure production equipment is operated correctly and production procedures are followed.
• Lead, train, supervise, and motivate production staff to achieve operational goals.
• Allocate tasks and monitor employee performance throughout each shift.
• Conduct daily shift briefings, toolbox talks, and performance reviews.
• Promote teamwork, discipline, and a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ensure all products meet company quality standards and customer specifications.
• Conduct routine quality inspections and address any production defects or non-conformities.
• Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality management systems.
• Enforce Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures.
• Ensure employees use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Identify workplace hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized production environment.
• Monitor the performance of production machinery and report faults promptly.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance with the maintenance team.
• Minimize equipment downtime through effective planning and monitoring.
• Ensure machines and tools are maintained in good working condition.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
• Monitor raw material consumption and coordinate with inventory and procurement teams to ensure adequate stock levels.
• Track production performance, downtime, waste, and efficiency metrics.
• Report operational challenges and recommend process improvements to management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
• Proven years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong understanding of production planning, quality control, and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Health and Safety regulations, and quality management systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and production reporting software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
