Responsibilities:
- Identify reliable vendors and suppliers for engineering and operational materials.
- Evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and service, ensuring alignment with company standards.
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure the timely delivery of goods and services.
- Collaborate with the engineering and project teams to understand technical requirements and translate them into procurement specifications.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast procurement needs to prevent stock-outs or surpluses.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier performance.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to achieve optimal cost savings.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and ethical standards.
- Conduct periodic market research to identify cost trends and new suppliers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related fields) or Procurement/Supply Chain Management with strong technical knowledge.
- Professional certifications such as CIPS, CILT, or other supply chain credentials are an added advantage.
- Minimum 1 year and maximum 3 years of relevant working experience in procurement, preferably within an engineering, construction, manufacturing, or oil & gas environment.
- Strong knowledge of engineering materials, equipment, and technical procurement processes.
- Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and professionalism in all interactions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP or procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Attention to detail with a high level of organizational efficiency.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must reside in Lagos State, preferably on the Island (Lekki, Victoria Island, Ikoyi, or nearby areas).
