Shipping And Logistics Officer

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and monitor the shipment, transportation, and delivery of goods and materials.
• Prepare and process shipping and logistics documentation, including B - Odugwu, FORM M, and PAAR.
• Track shipments and provide regular updates to customers, suppliers, and management.
• Liaise with transport providers, freight forwarders, shipping companies, and other logistics partners.
• Ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods while maintaining delivery schedules.
• Monitor inventory movement and coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure stock accuracy.
• Resolve shipment delays, delivery issues, and logistics-related challenges promptly.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, transportation regulations, and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate logistics records, shipment reports, and transportation documentation.
• Monitor logistics costs and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate import and export activities where applicable.
• Support procurement, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure seamless supply chain activities.
• Prepare periodic logistics and operational performance reports for management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Proven years of experience in shipping, logistics, supply chain, freight forwarding, or transportation operations.
• Strong understanding of shipping procedures, logistics coordination, and inventory management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Experience using logistics, warehouse, or ERP management systems is an advantage.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
