Job Summary
The French Teacher is responsible for teaching students how to speak, write, and understand the French language. They create a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters the development of students' language skills, cultural understanding, and appreciation for French-speaking cultures. The teacher will tailor instruction to different proficiency levels and use a variety of instructional materials and methods.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver French language lessons in accordance with curriculum guidelines and student proficiency levels.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies, including games, role play, multimedia, and real-life simulations.
- Teach grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, conversation, reading comprehension, and writing.
- Design and administer tests, quizzes, oral exams, and other assessment tools to evaluate student progress.
- Maintain accurate records of students’ performance and provide regular feedback.
- Prepare the students for external and internal examinations
- Adapt lessons based on student progress and individual learning needs.
- Establish a respectful, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Manage student behavior effectively to ensure a conducive learning atmosphere.
- Encourage student participation and foster a love for language learning.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the French curriculum.
- Select and develop instructional materials and resources.
- Integrate cultural components to provide a rich and immersive learning experience.
- Communicate regularly with parents, colleagues, and school administration regarding student progress and needs.
- Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.
- Collaborate with other language or subject teachers on interdisciplinary projects.
- Stay updated on current teaching methodologies, French language developments, and educational technology.
- Pursue continuing education opportunities and language immersion when possible.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in French, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Teaching certification/licensure (as required by region).
- Proficiency in French (native or near-native fluency).
- Prior teaching experience is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
