English Teacher

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive English lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning and academic growth.
• Teach various aspects of English, including grammar, literature, reading, writing, and vocabulary.
• Conduct assessments to evaluate students' comprehension, writing proficiency, and critical thinking skills.
• Encourage students to engage in discussions, analyze literary works, and express their thoughts effectively.
• Provide constructive feedback and support for students to improve their language skills.
• Incorporate technology and multimedia resources to enhance learning experiences.
• Organize and participate in parent-teacher conferences to discuss students' progress.
• Stay informed about current trends in English education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in English or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience post-NYSC
• Proven experience in teaching English at the secondary school level.
• Strong knowledge of English grammar, literature, and writing techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire a love for English language and literature in students.
• Proficiency in using educational technology and resources for teaching.
