Economics Educator
Job summary
We are seeking an economist with strong academic foundations and real-world economic experience. You hold a degree in Economics or a related discipline (Finance, Business, or Accounting) and have practical exposure, whether through banking, consulting, financial markets, entrepreneurship, or industry. You can move effortlessly from economic theory to real application: explaining supply and demand curves, then analysing the impact of CBN monetary policy on Nigerian businesses. This applied perspective is central to how you teach. You have a proven track record of excellent results preparing students for IGCSE and WAEC Economics, consistently achieving A/A grades and distinctions* through deep understanding, not rote learning. You teach microeconomics and macroeconomics with equal confidence, making concepts like elasticity, inflation, and fiscal policy engaging and relevant. Your lessons draw on contemporary Nigerian and global examples, as well as on fuel subsidy debates, exchange-rate movements, and emerging market trends, to make economics tangible. Experience supporting university entrance preparation, economics olympiads, or essay competitions is highly valued. The ability to also teach Business Studies or Accounting is an advantage. Above all, you produce students who excel in exams, think critically, and understand how economies and policies shape real business decisions.
