Job summary

The Data & Product Assistant (DPA) will support data management, product development, and platform operations within the organization. The role involves working with financial data, maintaining system accuracy, and supporting the development of data-driven products across equities and fixed income markets.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the link between BSL and the MLS Data Platform
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related issues
  • Aggregate, transcribe, and upload equities-related content
  • Conduct regular checks to ensure data accuracy and platform functionality
  • Handle the aggregation, transcription, and upload of fixed income data
  • Monitor frontend and backend systems for accuracy and feature performance
  • Manage integration of new platform features (equities or fixed income)
  • Liaise with third-party providers for content and technical input
  • Identify opportunities for new products or enhancements
  • Collaborate with senior management to propose and define improvements
  • Provide backup support to colleagues with related responsibilities as needed
  • The DPA will develop the ability to transcribe financial statements for banks, insurance, and manufacturing companies to be uploaded to BSL.
  •  The DPA will develop the ability to develop Reports from the MLS
  • The DPA will develop the ability to prepare stock valuation profiles on a weekly basis for assigned companies
  • The DPA will develop the ability to transcribe fixed income information to be uploaded to BSL
  • The DPA will develop an understanding of the administrative backend of BSL & MLS 
  • Inventory of reports to be transcribed and transcribed reports
  • Inventory of stock valuation profiles
  • Inventory of fixed income transcriptions
  • Inventory of MLS Reports
  • Periodic use of the BSL admin back end
  • Support in administrative functions in the office

Requirements:
  • Good university degrees (Preferably in Management/Social sciences)
  • Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years relevant experience
  • Ability to take instructions and be committed to performing tasks
  • Good communication skills, etc
