Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive computer science curriculum encompassing various classes such as game programming, app programming, logic, and critical thinking, tailored to each grade level to ensure engagement and developmental appropriateness.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities to students from Grades one to Grade twelve, fostering a positive and interactive learning environment.
- Possess expertise in Block-based Programming (e.g., Scratch, App Inventor, MBlock), Text-based programming (e.g., Python, Java, or C++, HTML, CSS), and other relevant programming languages and tools.
- Showcase knowledge of Robotics or 3D Animation, and Virtual Reality, which will be considered an added advantage.
- Demonstrate strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills to guide students effectively through the learning process.
- Utilize technology effectively as part of the teaching process and continuously evaluate the effectiveness of instructional technology.
- Effectively manage the classroom by implementing discipline, time management, and organizational strategies consistent with school policy.
Requirements:
- A graduate in Mathematics/Computer Science / Information and Communication Technology / Computer Engineering / Education Technology.
- Proficiency in coding and ICT instruction for both primary and secondary school students.
- Strong presentation and delivery abilities to engage and captivate students.
- Enthusiasm for learning and teaching new applications and programs.
- Excellent facilitation skills, capable of motivating, guiding, and training students effectively.
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with great attention to detail.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- Commitment to excellence and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Demonstrated experience in organizing, conceptualizing, and prioritizing objectives.
- Proficiency in online teaching tools and social media platforms to facilitate interactive virtual learning experiences.
- Strong technology skills to support both in-person and online teaching methods.
