The Clinical Nurse Educator will be responsible for developing and implementing educational programs and training initiatives to enhance the professional development and clinical competence of nursing staff. This role is critical in ensuring that nurses remain current with best practices and deliver the highest standard of patient care.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development: Create, update, and maintain educational programs for nursing staff, including orientation programs, in-service training, and ongoing professional development.
- Clinical Skills Training: Provide hands-on clinical training and mentoring to nurses, focusing on evidence-based practices, patient safety, and quality care.
- Continuing Education Coordination: Collaborate with department heads and external organizations to identify continuing education opportunities, certifications, and workshops.
- Performance Evaluation: Assess and monitor nurses’ clinical competencies through regular evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support growth.
- Policy Compliance: Ensure that nursing educational initiatives align with hospital policies, Nigerian healthcare regulations, and global best practices.
- Resource Management: Develop and manage educational materials, including manuals, e-learning modules, and clinical guidelines.
- Research & Quality Improvement: Participate in or lead nursing research and quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Education & Certification: A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BNSc) is required; a Master’s in Nursing Education or related field is preferred. Must possess a valid nursing license (RN) recognized by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
- Clinical Experience: Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 2 years in an educational or supervisory capacity.
- Teaching Skills: Strong presentation, teaching, and mentoring abilities, with demonstrated success in delivering training programs.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office and e-learning platforms; ability to develop multimedia training content is a plus.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with staff at all levels.
- Adaptability & Innovation: Proven ability to adapt to changing healthcare environments and integrate new teaching methodologies.
