Chemistry Teacher

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging and interactive chemistry lessons that align with curriculum standards.
• Conduct laboratory experiments and hands-on activities to demonstrate chemical principles and concepts.
• Provide clear explanations of complex chemical reactions, theories, and equations.
• Foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills through challenging experiments and exercises.
• Assess and evaluate students' understanding of chemistry through assignments, quizzes, and examinations.
• Create a safe and organized laboratory environment for conducting experiments.
• Integrate technology and multimedia resources to enhance the learning experience.
• Organize and participate in science-related events, such as science fairs or chemistry clubs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular projects and initiatives.
• Stay updated on current trends, research, and advancements in the field of chemistry.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years post-NYSC
• Proven experience in teaching chemistry at the secondary school level.
• Strong knowledge of chemistry concepts, laboratory procedures, and safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to engage and inspire students in the study of chemistry.
• Experience with curriculum development and lesson planning.
• Proficiency in using educational technology and resources for teaching chemistry.
