Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Market Development:
- Develop and implement a business development strategy for IT infrastructure solutions, with a focus on market penetration and revenue growth.
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, emerging technologies, and potential business opportunities.
- Develop comprehensive business plans tailored to target specific industries or clients that require IT infrastructure solutions.
Sales and Revenue Generation:
- Identify and engage potential clients to understand their IT infrastructure needs and propose tailored solutions.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales pitches, proposals, and presentations to clients and stakeholders.
Client Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their queries and resolving issues promptly.
Solution Design and Collaboration:
- Work closely with technical teams to design and propose IT infrastructure solutions that align with client needs.
- Ensure all proposed solutions are feasible and aligned with the company's capabilities and strategic objectives.
- Coordinate with pre-sales and technical teams to ensure accurate documentation and pricing of solutions.
Project Management and Execution Support:
- Oversee the implementation of IT infrastructure projects to ensure they meet client expectations, timelines, and budgets.
- Manage risks and challenges during project execution, ensuring smooth delivery of solutions.
Reporting and Analytics:
- Track and report on key performance metrics, including sales targets, pipeline status, and client engagement activities.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on market insights, client feedback, and growth opportunities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in business development or sales in IT infrastructure or related fields.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies, such as virtualization, cloud platforms, and enterprise networking.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and project management software.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, and AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are advantageous.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of IT infrastructure solutions, including cloud computing, data centers, networking, and cybersecurity.
- Sales and Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to close deals and negotiate favorable terms.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to align business development strategies with organizational goals.
- Technical Acumen: Familiarity with technical aspects of IT infrastructure and the ability to discuss these with clients and internal teams.
- Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Project Management: Proficiency in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client engagement and internal collaboration.
