About Roostline Farms
Roostline Farms is developing a modern poultry breeding and hatchery operation focused on supplying high-quality day-old chicks to poultry farmers across Nigeria.
As we prepare for commercial operations, we are seeking an experienced Business Development & Partnerships Manager to help establish Roostline as a trusted partner within Nigeria’s poultry industry.
This role is responsible for building strategic relationships, developing distribution channels, identifying market opportunities, and creating a strong customer pipeline ahead of launch.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in connecting Roostline Farms with poultry farmers, distributors, agro-dealers, feed companies, veterinary service providers, industry associations, and other key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development
- Develop and execute strategies to expand Roostline’s market presence across Nigeria.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the poultry and agricultural sectors.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective customers and strategic partners.
- Develop territory expansion plans and customer acquisition strategies.
- Track market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
Partnerships & Industry Engagement
- Establish relationships with poultry farmers, commercial farms, cooperatives, distributors, agro-dealers, and agricultural organizations.
- Develop partnerships with feed manufacturers, veterinary service providers, poultry associations, and industry stakeholders.
- Represent Roostline Farms at industry conferences, exhibitions, trade shows, and networking events.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities and strategic partnership initiatives.
Sales & Commercial Growth
- Develop pre-launch customer commitments and sales opportunities.
- Support pricing, market positioning, and commercial planning activities.
- Work closely with leadership to forecast demand and support business growth objectives.
- Assist in developing distribution and channel partner programs.
Market Intelligence
- Conduct market research and customer needs assessments.
- Identify opportunities for product and service differentiation.
- Provide regular market insights and recommendations to management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Agriculture, Agribusiness, Animal Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, commercial operations, sales, or market development.
- Strong networking, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strategic partnerships.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in poultry, hatchery operations, feed manufacturing, animal health, livestock production, agribusiness, or agricultural inputs.
- Existing relationships within Nigeria’s poultry industry.
- Experience working with distributors, dealers, cooperatives, or channel partners.
- Strong understanding of poultry production systems and market dynamics.
- Experience supporting the launch or expansion of agricultural businesses.
- Knowledge of farm management software and processes.
