Business Development Executive
Job summary
Responsible for originating and developing foreign exchange brokerage opportunities by connecting willing buyers and sellers of foreign currencies. The role focuses on client acquisition, relationship management, transaction coordination, and ensuring seamless collaboration with operations and compliance teams to deliver timely service.

Responsibilities:
Revenue Generation:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities involving foreign exchange brokerage transactions.
- Source and onboard willing buyers and sellers of foreign currencies.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients through networking, referrals, and market intelligence.
- Negotiate transaction terms within approved company guidelines to maximise brokerage revenue.
- Achieve assigned revenue and client acquisition targets.
Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.
- Maintain strong relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Provide timely updates to clients regarding transaction progress.
- Address client inquiries and resolve issues in coordination with internal teams.
Transaction Coordination:
- Liaise with the operations team to ensure swift and accurate processing of payments and settlements.
- Monitor transaction lifecycle from initiation to completion.
- Escalate operational bottlenecks promptly for resolution.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Work closely with the compliance team to ensure all transactions meet regulatory and internal policy requirements.
- Support client onboarding documentation and due diligence processes.
- Follow up on compliance approvals to prevent transaction delays.
Market Intelligence & Reporting:
- Monitor FX market trends and competitor activity.
- Provide periodic reports on pipeline status, client activity, and revenue performance.
- Suggest business growth strategies based on market insights.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in business development, financial services, or FX brokerage is an advantage.
- An understanding of foreign exchange markets and financial intermediation processes is preferred.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills.
- Relationship management and client engagement.
- Knowledge of regulatory/compliance processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
