The Videographer is responsible for capturing, producing, and delivering high-quality video content that tells compelling stories about the sport, athletes, events, and brand. Responsibilities:
- Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality video content for matches, training sessions, interviews, events, and campaigns.
- Deliver short-form and long-form video content optimised for social media, web, and broadcast platforms.
- Collaborate with content, social, marketing, and editorial teams to translate briefs into visual stories.
- Set up and manage video equipment, including cameras, lighting, and audio in studio and live environments.
- Capture live-action, behind-the-scenes, and documentary-style footage.
- Edit footage to a high professional standard, ensuring accuracy, pacing, and brand alignment.
- Manage video assets, file structures, and backups efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with brand, safeguarding, and filming guidelines.
- Meet tight deadlines in fast-paced sports and live-event environments.
- Continuously improve output by staying current with video, editing, and storytelling trends.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a videographer or video content producer.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating sports, live-event, or fast-paced video content.
- Proficiency with professional camera systems (DSLR, mirrorless, cinema cameras).
- Strong understanding of camera operation, framing, composition, and movement.
- Solid experience with audio recording equipment, including microphones and field recorders.
- Ability to edit for multiple formats and aspect ratios (vertical, square, landscape).
- Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail and storytelling instincts.
- Working knowledge of lighting techniques for interviews, events, and location shoots.
- Advanced proficiency in video editing software, including: Adobe Premiere Pro (primary editing and assembly), Adobe After Effects (motion graphics and visual enhancements), and DaVinci Resolve or equivalent (colour correction and grading).
- Experience working in sports, media, or live broadcast environments.
- Familiarity with drone videography and relevant licensing.
- Experience with multi-camera shoots and live streaming.
- Basic motion graphics, animation, or title design skills.
- Understanding of social media video performance and optimisation.
- Knowledge of accessibility best practices (subtitles, captions).
- Ability to operate independently and manage shoots end-to-end.
- Passion for sport and understanding of athlete, fan, and competition dynamics.
