As Social Media Manager at Socially Right, you will own day-to-day social execution across multiple client accounts, working together with the account management team to translate strategy into scroll-stopping content, conversations, and community. You’ll be responsible for managing client pages and supporting marketing needs for Socially Right.

Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop clear, data-driven social media strategies aligned with each client’s business goals.
  • Present social media strategies, campaign plans, and performance insights to clients with confidence and clarity.
  • Identify growth opportunities across organic and paid channels based on platform data and audience behaviour.


Content Development & Execution:

  • Develop content ideas, captions, and content calendars aligned with brand tone, messaging, and objectives.
  • Design and execute content including reels, carousels, static posts, and stories.
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure timely and high-quality content delivery.


Account & Paid Media Management:

  • Manage day-to-day social media accounts for clients across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Plan, set up, and run paid social media ads focused on awareness, engagement, lead generation, and conversions.
  • Monitor ad performance, optimise creatives, targeting, and budgets to improve results.
  • Respond timely to DMs and drive community engagement through comments on owned and other channels.
  • Work with approved ad budgets and ensure efficient spend in line with campaign goals.


Communication & Client Management:

  • Maintain clear, professional, and timely communication with clients regarding content plans, posting schedules, ongoing campaigns, and day-to-day social media matters.
  • Coordinate with clients to obtain approvals, feedback, and necessary assets for social media content.
  • Monitor brand conversations across social media platforms and escalate sensitive issues or feedback where necessary.
  • Respond to client queries and requests promptly while ensuring alignment with the overall social media strategy.
  • Document client feedback, requests, and revisions to ensure accurate execution of deliverables.


Reporting & Performance Analysis:

  • Track and analyse social media and paid ad performance using platform insights and analytics tools.
  • Prepare and share clear monthly performance reports highlighting key metrics, insights, and recommendations.
  • Use data to refine strategies, improve content performance, and inform future campaigns.


Trends & Innovation:

  • Stay updated on social media trends, platform updates, and paid advertising best practices.
  • Proactively suggest relevant trends, formats, and campaign ideas that support client growth and performance.
  • Test new content formats and ad approaches to continuously improve results.


Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience in social media management, content marketing, and community management
  • Strong understanding of platform algorithms, creative formats, and growth lever
  • Excellent writing, editing, and creative storytelling skills
  • Hands-on experience with Canva, CapCut, Meta Business Suite, TikTok for Business, and scheduling tools
  • Experience using Instagram Reels, TikTok, LinkedIn Carousels, X Threads, and YouTube Shorts
  • Ability to multitask across multiple client accounts and deadlines
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Culturally fluent and highly plugged into trends across lifestyle, fashion, tech, and entertainment
  • Comfortable working with designers, photographers, and creators


Bonus If You Bring:

  • Prior agency or startup experience
  • Influencer marketing or PR background
  • Design skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere)
  • SEO or email marketing exposure
  • Experience managing ads or boosting social content
  • Experience creating for global brands or African youth-driven brands
