SENIOR LEGAL ASSOCIATE

We are currently seeking to hire a highly experienced legal practitioner to fill the Senior Associate role in our organization. As a Senior Associate, you will be required to provide expert legal counsel and representation to support our diverse clientele. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on various matters, including complex and sensitive issues

- Draft and review various contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.

- Represent clients in court and managing all ADR matters, as well as demonstrating strong advocacy skills

- Exhibit quality leadership skills as well as Manage and mentor junior associates.

- Handle Estate Planning and succession planning matters

- To generate new business and grow clientele base

- Demonstrate strength in handling arbitrary issues, such as disputes, negotiations, and crisis management

REQUIREMENTS:

- LL.B degree from a reputable university (LL.M in candidate’s area of core competence will be a major advantage)

- Minimum of 8 years post call hands-on experience in litigation, corporate and commercial law practice

- Strong understanding of Nigerian laws.

- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

- Proven strength in handling and maintaining client confidentiality

- knowledge of Estate Planning and Succession planning is a huge plus

- Membership of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) with up to date payment of practicing fee is mandatory.
