Job summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Associate to join our growing team. The successful candidate will work closely with Partners and Senior Associates on commercial advisory work, litigation, and human rights matters. This role offers strong exposure, hands-on responsibility, and opportunities for professional growth within a dynamic practice.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, contracts, legal opinions, briefs, and memoranda.
- File and undertake civil and criminal litigation before national, regional and international courts and tribunals.
- Support commercial transactions and regulatory advisory work.
- Participate in human rights and public interest litigation and advocacy initiatives.
- Engage with clients, courts, regulators, and other stakeholders under supervision.
- Contribute to knowledge management, practice development, and internal firm initiatives.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by Partners or Senior Associates to support the firm’s objectives.
Requirements:
- LL.B and B.L must be called to the Nigerian Bar.
- At least 5 to 7 years post-call litigation experience in a reputable law firm or legal organisation.
- Strong interest and experience in litigation, including public interest litigation.
- Knowledge of Nigerian law and court procedures; exposure to human rights or public interest work is an advantage.
- Excellent legal research, drafting, and communication (including public speaking) skills.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
