Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate real estate contracts, lease agreements, and sales documentation.
- Provide legal advice on property acquisitions, sales, leases, and development projects.
- Ensure compliance with all property laws, regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Conduct title searches, verify property ownership, and resolve disputes or claims.
- Represent the company in property-related negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings when necessary.
- Advise management on risk assessment, regulatory updates, and legal implications of transactions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B); Master’s Degree or additional certifications in property/real estate law are an advantage.
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience as a Real Estate Lawyer or Legal Counsel in the real estate sector.
- Strong knowledge of property law, conveyancing, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Close attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving ability.
- Membership of the Nigerian Bar Association.
