Legal Officer
Job summary
The Legal Officer will provide legal advisory and compliance support to the finance company by ensuring that all business operations, lending activities, and contractual engagements comply with applicable laws and financial regulations. The role involves drafting, reviewing, and managing legal documentation, mitigating legal risks.

Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal agreements, including loan agreements, service contracts, NDAs, and other financial documentation.
- Provide legal advice to management and internal departments on regulatory, contractual, and operational matters.
- Ensure the company’s operations comply with applicable financial services regulations and internal policies.
- Review lending and credit documentation to ensure legal adequacy and enforceability.
- Manage and maintain legal records, contracts, and documentation.
- Support dispute resolution, debt recovery processes, and litigation management when required.
- Liaise with external legal counsel, regulators, and other stakeholders on legal matters.
- Monitor changes in financial regulations and laws affecting finance companies and advise management accordingly.
- Assist with corporate governance and company secretarial responsibilities, including board documentation and regulatory filings.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
- Minimum of a BSc.
