A Corporate Lawyer provides legal guidance to businesses, ensuring operations comply with regulations and protecting them from legal risks. They handle transactions like mergers, acquisitions, and contract negotiations.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for drafting, reviewing contracts, and related documents for new & ongoing business transactions.
- Responsible for the legal affairs management of the company and providing legal consulting services.
- Establish a company's legal management and contract management framework. Analyze, report & manage legal risks for business lines, including (but not limited to) core-tech, fintech-related agreements.
- Responsible for drafting, reviewing contracts, and related documents for new & ongoing business transactions.
- Ensure onboarding and training of new business partners, and reinforce with existing business partners, to help drive value, discipline, and assist business partner understanding of risk management and mitigation involved in the contract negotiation process.
- Develop expertise in relevant legal regimes, including data privacy laws, industry standards, and intellectual property, in order to facilitate regulatory and internal compliance.
- Provide general legal advice in company legal affairs and disputes.
Requirements:
- Nigerian qualified lawyer with a minimum of four (4) years post-call experience in corporate and commercial law.
- Excellent grounding in corporate or project matters with an ability to learn new subject matter quickly.
- Astute, commercially aware, and highly motivated.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team, and to handle high levels of responsibility.
- Flexibility to take on a variety of different tasks at different levels of the business.
- Keen team player with demonstrable ability to contribute to the development of the Company.
- Residing at Lagos-Island axis is an added advantage.
