Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Manage and maintain project budgets, ensuring costs remain within budget constraints.
• Advise on procurement strategies to ensure best value for money.
• Collaborate with other professionals such as architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project success.
• Monitor and control costs during the construction process.
• Prepare detailed reports on project costs and progress.
• Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes.
• Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time and labor cost.
• Negotiate contracts and prices with vendors and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, building codes and regulations.

Requirements:

• Minimum academic qualification of a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Survey, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 1 year work experience quantity surveying, preferably in the construction industry.
  
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of construction materials, methods and processes.
• Familiarity with construction contracts, regulations and standards.
• Must be a detail-oriented and  an analytical thinker.
