Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost estimates for projects
- Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost planning and control
- Prepare and negotiate contracts with contractors and suppliers
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and costs
- Identify and mitigate project risks
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and regulations
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers
- Prepare and submit project reports and cost analyses
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience in quantity surveying
- Professional certification (MNIQS) is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of construction costs, contracts, and regulations
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., Autodesk, CostX)
- The Ideal Candidate must be a female and reside on the Island (Lagos Island)
- First degree in Quantity Surveying. (Preferred)
- Experience with multi-storey projects and contracts (Preferred)
- Knowledge of building information modelling (BIM) (Preferred)
