CNC Operator

Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC nesting machines for wood furniture production
• Load, set up, and secure MDF, plywood, particle board, and laminated panels
• Run nesting programs for cabinets, wardrobes, kitchens, and furniture components
• Read and interpret furniture drawings, cut lists, and production schedules
• Ensure accurate cutting, drilling, grooving, and pocketing of panels
• Monitor machine performance and adjust feeds, speeds, and tool paths when necessary
• Change and maintain cutting tools such as router bits and drills
• Minimise material waste by proper nesting and sheet handling
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy, edge quality, and consistency
• Perform basic machine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting
• Work closely with supervisors, assemblers, and edge banding operators
• Comply with factory safety rules and maintain a clean work area

Requirements:

• Proven experience operating CNC nesting machines in a wood or furniture factory
• Good knowledge of wood-based materials (MDF, plywood, laminated boards, etc.)
• Ability to read furniture drawings, cutting lists, and measurements
• Basic knowledge of CNC software and machine controls
• Experience with cabinet, kitchen, wardrobe, or office furniture production
• Ability to meet daily production targets with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and quality finishing
• Willingness to work overtime or shifts when required
• Technical training, vocational certification, or apprenticeship is an added advantage
• Previous factory experience in Nigeria is a plus
• Must be based in Abuja
