Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Construction Manager to oversee multiple construction projects across various sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning and budgeting to final completion and handover. This role requires a strong leader with exceptional project management skills, a deep understanding of the construction industry, and the ability to manage multiple teams and stakeholders effectively. Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans for multiple construction sites.
- Oversee all phases of construction, from pre-construction to closeout, ensuring projects are delivered to client specifications.
- Implement and maintain effective construction management processes and technologies to enhance project delivery.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and coordinate project teams, including site managers, general contractors, designers, and vendors, to ensure seamless execution.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment, providing mentorship and guidance to team members.
- Oversee the hiring and training of construction personnel as needed.
Client & Stakeholder Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular project updates and proactively resolving any issues.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and vendors, representing the company in all project-related meetings.
Financial & Contractual Management:
- Manage project budgets, control costs, and oversee estimating, bidding, and contract administration.
- Source, negotiate, and manage contracts with contractors, subcontractors, and third-party providers.
Quality & Safety Compliance:
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure strict adherence to building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Implement risk assessment and mitigation strategies to minimize project risks and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering or related field with 4-7 years of relevant professional experience.
- Proven experience in a construction management role, with a strong portfolio of successfully completed projects.
- Experience managing multi-site construction projects is highly desirable.
- Leadership and Communication: Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams.
- Project Management: Proficiency in project management software and a deep understanding of project management methodologies. PMP certification is a plus.
- Technical Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of construction processes, materials, and equipment, as well as a thorough understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
