Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for construction projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies to assess material, labour, and time requirements.
- Monitor project costs, identify variances, and implement cost-control measures.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure value for money.
- Manage progress claims, valuations, and payments, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Provide cost advice during design and construction phases to optimise project outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of measurements, changes, and contractual claims.
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in quantity surveying or cost management within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam) and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities to liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
