Job summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Architect (Design, Permit & Development Projects) to handle architectural design, drawing preparation, permit coordination, and future development projects.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
Architectural Design & Documentation:
- Prepare full architectural drawing sets (floor plans, elevations, sections, details)
- Develop new building designs based on client/project requirements
- Prepare site plans and landscape plans
- Produce revisions and updates for ongoing projects
- Ensure drawings meet local building codes and zoning regulations
Permit & Review Coordination:
- Review and respond to city/authority plan review comments
- Prepare resubmission packages
- Coordinate with structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers
- Ensure compliance with building and energy codes
Project Development Support:
- Assist with new residential development concepts
- Modify plans to meet evolving requirements
- Provide technical clarifications during construction
- Maintain organized drawing revisions and document control
Requirements:
- Degree in Architecture
- 3–5+ years of experience in residential architectural design
- Strong knowledge of building codes and permit processes
- Experience in preparing landscape plans
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software
- Strong coordination and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Preferred:
- Experience with international permitting processes
- Experience working with development projects
- Knowledge of energy code and site development requirements
- Experience producing construction-ready drawings
Compensation:
- Negotiable (Project-based)
