Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Cost Estimation and Budgeting
- Prepare precise cost estimates that consider materials, labor, equipment, and overhead.
- Develop and manage project budgets, monitoring expenses, and suggesting cost-saving measures.
- Analyze costs and provide recommendations for cost optimization.
Contract Administration
- Administer contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
- Review contract documents, identify issues, and propose solutions.
- Negotiate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers for favorable terms.
- Maintain thorough contract records.
Resource Allocation
- Collaborate with project teams to allocate resources effectively, optimizing project outcomes within budget.
- Monitor resource utilization and make adjustments to enhance efficiency.
Project Reporting
- Regularly report on project costs, budget variances, and financial performance.
- Keep project stakeholders informed of cost-related matters.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Cost Control
- Implement cost control measures to prevent overruns and identify cost-saving opportunities.·Manage change orders and evaluate their impact on project costs.
- Conduct value engineering assessments for cost-effective project outcomes.
Documentation and Records
- Maintain comprehensive records of financial documents, including invoices, receipts, and payment certificates.
- Prepare final accounts accurately and comprehensively.
Additional Responsibilities
- Preparation of Bill of Quantities (BOQ), tender documents, and contract documents.
- Preparation of Materials and Labor schedules.
- Conducting cost analysis, cost control, and preparing cost reports for ongoing projects.
- Conducting site visits and preparing site reports.
- Overseeing project management, including project planning, initiation, and timeline management.
- Managing project budgets and resources efficiently.
- Skillfully negotiating with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and artisans.
- Developing payment plans and handling prequalification of tenders and recommendations.
- Additionally, staff members may be assigned other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by the company to support our operations and objectives.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of Quantity Survey experience in an Engineering firm
- Degree in Quantity Survey, Engineering, or other related courses
- Adequate experience in Project management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent negotiation and contract administration skills.
- Proficiency in cost estimation and budget management.
- Effective communication and reporting skills.
- Attention to detail and record-keeping.
- Familiarity with construction industry standards.
- Resource allocation and utilization expertise.
- Knowledge of value engineering principles.
