Quantity Surveyor

Our Company is looking forward to hiring a Quantity Surveyor working with experience in preparing Construction Costs, Estimates, Labour, and Material schedules from working drawings with Project Management skills.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all operations are carried out to control costs, maximize value, minimize future liabilities, and maintaining the required standard of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Meeting with clients to discuss project requirements
• Undertaking feasibility studies, site surveys, and estimations
• Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity requirements.
• Identifying commercial risks and developing appropriate responses
• Act as custodian of all construction budgets, and quotations from constructors/artisans with the sole aim of gathering the best price/rate.
• Ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and within budget
  
• Analyzing project outcomes and creating detailed financial reports
• Ensures that all waste and theft on sites are consciously avoided by putting in place concrete measures aimed at covering all loopholes noticed
• Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, sustainability, quality, and other statutory requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Management, or a similar field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience working in a similar role
• Have a Health Safety and Environment Certificate/Training
• Knowledge of construction estimating/finance experience is an added advantage
• Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills
• Must have sound knowledge of the construction industry
• Ability to organize, plan, and strategize
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Great networking abilities.
