Job summary
An international fintech company with a global presence is seeking a project manager to coordinate, organise, monitor, and report on software projects within a technology-focused environment. The project manager will work closely with developers, QA engineers, product owners, architects, and the delivery manager to ensure projects remain organised, risks are identified early, communication flows effectively, and project objectives are achieved. This is an internal role. The project manager reports to the delivery manager, who is responsible for all client communication and overall client relationship management. We welcome applications from both experienced and junior candidates. While some of the requirements listed below are important for success in the role, we are also interested in candidates who demonstrate strong organisational skills, ownership, communication abilities, and a willingness to learn and develop professionally.

- Lead project planning activities.
- Organise and facilitate sprint planning sessions.
- Organise and facilitate sprint retrospectives.
- Monitor project progress and milestones.
- Identify risks, blockers, and dependencies early.
- Escalate issues when appropriate.
- Ensure projects remain aligned with agreed objectives and timelines.
- Maintain project plans and documentation.
- Coordinate work across project team members.
- Communicate effectively with developers, QA engineers, product owners, architects, and the delivery manager.
- Follow up on open actions and unresolved issues.
- Ensure team members have clear ownership of tasks and responsibilities and are progressing according to agreed plans and timelines.
- Monitor team workload and task allocation to ensure resources are utilized effectively and team members remain productively engaged.
- Help maintain alignment between business priorities and project activities.
- Monitor project issues, defects, and risks.
- Coordinate with Technical Leads and Project Leadership to ensure appropriate ownership of bugs, incidents, and project challenges.
- Track issues through resolution.
- Maintain visibility of overall project health.
- Provide accurate daily updates to the delivery manager covering project progress, risks, blockers, dependencies, milestones, and any issues requiring attention.
- Maintain meeting notes, action items, and project documentation
- Ensure Jira, Azure DevOps, or any designated project management platform remains up to date to support project visibility, planning, and automated reporting.
- The project manager is expected to actively seek information and clarification whenever required. We do not expect candidates to know everything; however, we do expect them to ask questions rather than make assumptions.

- The project manager is expected to document that information clearly so it can be referenced and reused in the future. This helps reduce knowledge loss, improve efficiency, and minimise repeated questions.
- The project manager is also expected to continuously improve project management practices, coordination processes, reporting quality, and use of tools. Progress and improvement initiatives should be regularly discussed with and reported to the Delivery Manager.
- Experience working as a project manager, Scrum Master, or similar project coordination role is mandatory.
- Experience working with software development teams is mandatory.
- Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar project management platforms is mandatory.
- Good understanding of software development processes is mandatory.
- Good understanding of software project lifecycles is mandatory.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills are mandatory.
- Experience within fintech, banking, payments, cards, digital banking, or financial services is considered an advantage but is not required.
- Good written English.
- Good spoken English.
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical team members.
- Ability to provide concise and accurate status updates
