Project Architect Facilitator
Job summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate project architect facilitator whose primary focus will be shaping the next generation of designers at the Maven School of Interior Decoration and Design. You will serve as a lead instructor, translating your professional expertise into engaging curriculum for our students. Additionally, you will provide expert architectural oversight for company projects that arise on a periodic, as-needed basis.

Responsibilities:
Educational Facilitation (Primary):
- Lead Instruction: Facilitate and teach core modules in Interior Design, Decoration, and Architectural principles.
- CAD Training: Conduct practical training sessions in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.), ensuring students can produce professional 2D and 3D blueprints.
- Curriculum Simplification: Simplify complex technical concepts—such as building codes, environmental impact, and structural integrity—for interior design students.
- Mentorship: Review student projects, providing constructive feedback on innovation, functionality, and aesthetic quality.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay at the forefront of architectural and interior design advancements to ensure teaching materials remain modern and industry-relevant.
Project Design & Oversight (Secondary):
- Periodic Project Management: When projects arise, control the design process from "brief" to finish, ensuring high-quality and functional results.
- Technical Documentation: Produce detailed design proposals, feasibility reports, and project specifications for occasional company clients.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all project work meets building codes, safety guidelines, and professional standards.
- Site Liaison: Conduct periodic on-site visits to check project status and collaborate with construction professionals when active projects are in progress.
- Budgetary Control: Manage project timelines and budgets efficiently during active design phases.
Requirements:
- A minimum of an HND in architecture.
- A minimum of 2 years of proven working experience as an architect (interior design experience is a significant advantage).
- A strong ability to teach, facilitate, and simplify technical concepts for learners.
- Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and professional design software (AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, SketchUp, 3D Studio VIZ, or similar).
- A strong portfolio demonstrating artistic skill, visual awareness, and an eye for detail.
- Exceptional presentation skills and the ability to manage both a classroom and a construction site effectively.
