Procurement Officer
Job summary
We are hiring a Head of Procurement & Supply Chain to lead sourcing, supplier management, inventory flow, and cost optimization across all Ewokor Group businesses. It is a strategic and operational leadership position responsible for protecting margins, ensuring product availability, enforcing procurement discipline, and eliminating waste and leakage.

Responsibilities:
Procurement & Vendor Management:
- Develop and implement group-wide procurement strategies
- Source, evaluate, negotiate, and manage suppliers across all business units
- Lead supplier price benchmarking and contract negotiations
- Establish preferred supplier lists and enforce procurement standards
Cost Control & Margin Protection:
- Monitor input costs and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Prevent supplier overpricing, duplicate billing, and procurement leakage
- Support profitability targets through disciplined sourcing and negotiation
Inventory & Supply Chain Management:
- Oversee inventory planning, reorder levels, and stock availability
- Reduce stock-outs, overstocking, expiry, and wastage
- Implement inventory controls for high-value and fast-moving items
Process, Controls & Compliance:
- Enforce procurement approval workflows and authority limits
- Ensure purchases align with approved budgets and policies
- Maintain accurate procurement documentation and reporting
- Support audits, stock counts, and reconciliations with Finance
Leadership & Collaboration:
- Build and manage the procurement and supply chain team
- Work closely with Finance, Operations, Store Managers, and Kitchen Leads
- Support new store openings, expansions, and supplier onboarding
Requirements:
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in procurement or supply chain leadership
- Experience in retail, FMCG, hospitality, food services, or logistics is highly preferred
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Proven experience managing inventory and cost controls
