Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Source and procure key raw materials such as oils, caustic soda, fragrances, and packaging materials.
- Negotiate with suppliers for cost-effective pricing and timely delivery.
- Manage vendor relationships and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, such as production, finance, and operations, to align procurement activities with business needs.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and vendor information.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure adequate stock levels while minimising carrying costs.
- Stay abreast of market trends, industry developments, policies, and regulatory requirements to inform procurement decisions.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the procurement function.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Business Administration, Accountancy, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of procurement experience in the FMCG or chemical production industry
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
