Position Overview

Picsible is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Photo Editor / Printer to join our production team. This role is central to our operations and directly impacts customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, understands print production standards, and can consistently deliver high-quality, print-ready outputs. You will be responsible for editing customer photos, preparing files for print, operating printers, and ensuring every output meets Picsible’s quality standards before framing.

Key Responsibilities

Photo Editing & Retouching

• Edit and retouch customer-submitted photographs for print readiness.
• Perform color correction, exposure adjustment, cropping, background cleanup, and basic retouching.
• Maintain consistency with Picsible’s brand and quality standards across all outputs.

Color & Print Accuracy

• Adjust color balance, contrast, and brightness for accurate print results.
• Apply correct color profiles and resolution settings for different print sizes and materials.

Print Preparation & Production

• Prepare images for printing with correct dimensions, DPI, and bleed margins.
• Operate photo printers and related equipment efficiently.
• Select appropriate paper or material based on order specifications.
• Calibrate printers when necessary to ensure consistent output quality.

Quality Control

• Inspect all prints for:
• Color accuracy
• Sharpness and clarity
• Cropping and alignment
• Spelling and design accuracy
• Reprint any output that does not meet quality standards before forwarding to framing.

Collaboration & Workflow

• Work closely with photographers, designers, and the production team to meet order requirements.
• Adhere to production timelines and daily output targets.

File Management

• Organize and maintain a structured digital file system.
• Ensure proper naming, storage, and archiving of all edited files and print-ready designs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a photo editor, retoucher, or print production specialist.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop (required). Lightroom knowledge is an advantage.
• Solid understanding of photography fundamentals, color theory, and print processes.
• High attention to detail and ability to spot errors before final output.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines in a production environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Portfolio showcasing photo editing and retouching work is required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in a photo printing, framing, or gifting business.
• Knowledge of different printing materials and finishes.
• Familiarity with basic design tools or templates.
• Experience handling high-volume production orders.
