Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day company operations, ensuring smooth service delivery and platform uptime.
- Build and manage core support functions: Customer Service, HR, Finance, and Compliance.
- Implement operational processes for tasker verification (KYC), quality assurance, dispute resolution, and escrow payouts.
- Develop KPIs to track operational efficiency, user satisfaction, and growth metrics.
Project Management
- Plan, execute, and monitor strategic projects (product releases, marketing campaigns, city launches).
- Create project timelines, assign tasks, and manage dependencies across teams.
- Facilitate communication between founders, developers, marketing, and legal.
- Ensure adherence to Nigerian regulatory requirements (CAC, NDPR, tax compliance).
Growth & Scale
- Coordinate onboarding campaigns for taskers and posters, ensuring high adoption in target cities.
- Work with marketing to execute influencer campaigns, referral programs, and community outreach.
- Partner with financial institutions, verification services, and logistics providers to improve trust and efficiency.
Risk & Compliance
- Maintain NDPR-compliant data practices and oversee secure handling of customer information.
- Implement quality and safety processes for platform transactions.
- Manage escalation processes for fraud, disputes, and task failures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field (MBA/Master’s a plus).
- 3 years of experience in operations, project management, or marketplace/e-commerce startups.
- Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and delivering projects in fast-paced environments.
- Strong understanding of Nigerian gig economy, fintech/payments (Paystack/Flutterwave), and mobile-first product operations.
- Familiarity with agile project management tools (Trello, Jira, Notion, Microsoft Office).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organized, with strong execution discipline.
- Ability to translate strategy into actionable plans.
- Strong problem-solving and risk management mindset.
- Comfort working in ambiguous, high-growth startup settings.
- Passion for empowering local talent and shaping Nigeria’s gig economy.
- Advanced proficiency using Microsoft suites.
