Nephrology Nurse
Job summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nephrology Nurse to provide specialized care to patients with kidney-related conditions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing dialysis treatments, monitoring patient progress, and supporting patients through chronic kidney disease management.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Administer and monitor dialysis treatments (hemodialysis and/or peritoneal dialysis) in accordance with established protocols
- Assess patients before, during, and after dialysis procedures to ensure safety and effectiveness
- Monitor vital signs and report any abnormalities or complications promptly
- Educate patients and their families on kidney disease management, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and treatment documentation
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and sterilization of dialysis equipment
- Collaborate with nephrologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate interventions when necessary
- Adhere strictly to infection control and safety standards
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid practicing license
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in nephrology or dialysis care
- Certification in Nephrology Nursing or Dialysis Nursing is an added advantage
- Strong knowledge of dialysis procedures and renal care
- Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle critical situations
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
