Technology and Innovation Journalist

Responsibilities:

• Research, investigate, and report on topics related to technology, innovation, startups, and digital trends
• Produce high-quality articles, features, interviews, and opinion pieces for digital and print platforms
• Monitor industry trends, breaking news, and technological advancements to generate timely content
• Conduct interviews with industry experts, founders, policymakers, and thought leaders
• Simplify complex technical concepts into clear, engaging, and accessible content for a broad audience
• Collaborate with editors, designers, and multimedia teams to enhance content delivery
• Ensure all content meets editorial standards, deadlines, and ethical journalism guidelines
• Utilize SEO best practices and digital tools to maximize content reach and engagement
• Attend tech events, conferences, and press briefings when required

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or a related field
• Proven experience as a journalist or reporter.
• Strong understanding of technology trends (AI, fintech, blockchain, startups, digital economy, etc.)
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple assignments
• Strong research, analytical, and interviewing skills
• Familiarity with digital publishing platforms and content management systems (CMS)
• Knowledge of SEO and social media content strategies is an added advantage
