Architect

Responsibilities:

• Draft architectural drawings as required by senior architects
• Interpret concept design drawings and also sketches made by senior architects and clients
  
• Perform basic materials take-off and quantities calculation
  
• Write minutes of meetings, site visit reports, and architectural reports
  
• Take responsibility and accountability for work allocated, check own work ensure minimal errors
  
• Supervise IT students posted to the unit
  
• Assist in the development of design details and construction documents
  
• Prepare presentation drawings and otherwise assist in presentations both internally and externally
  
• Help with compiling required paperwork and documents for projects
• Perform basic materials take-off and quantities calculation with a good understanding of how to use the PTN / JBI short and long Room Finish Matrix spreadsheet
  

Requirements:

• Minimum academic qualification of a Second class Bachelor degree  in Architecture (or equivalent)
• Qualitative year or more of experience in a design office post-NYSC
  
• Excellent drafting skills
  
• High proficiency in the use of REVIT and AUTOCAD, and in line with PTN’s QM system
  
• An understanding of building specifications
  
• Knowledge of relevant Nigerian and British Standard building codes and relevant space standards/references, all for architectural design
  
• For Visualization high proficiency in the use of SketchUp, VRay, Enscape, 3D Studio Max, and Adobe Creative Suite (with an emphasis on Acrobat DC, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premier Pro) ·         
• Good time management skills and attitude
