Executive Assistant/Content Developer

Job Summary

We are looking to recruit an associate that will work with me to execute my businesses, chiefly creating content targeted at PR efforts for an African video streaming service. The role is a mix of Content Creator and Executive Assistant, thus the role is targeted at recent graduates, youth corps members, and first job seekers.

  • Minimum Qualification: HND

  • Experience Length: No Experience/Less than 1 year

Job Requirements:

Educational Qualification;

  • HND or bachelor's degree
  • Experience in copywriting, graphic design, programming, or a related field may be advantageous.

Individual Qualities:

  • Have a passion for writing, media and entertainment
  • Be up to date with trends in the entertainment scene, both local and international
  • Keenly follow Nigerian series
  • Be a self-starter; have the ability to work both independently and with a team with little to no supervision
  • Be operationally focused and simply get things done, putting processes to work and getting things done should be something that comes naturally to you
  • Have a good eye for detail
  • Be an excellent researcher
  • Be proactive, eager and willing to learn
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • A bit of practical experience running something consistently, be it a blog or small business would be a plus

Core Skills:

  • Written and verbal skills
  • Strategic thinking skills
  • Basic knowledge of Digital Marketing concepts like Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Job Requirements:

  • Your primary responsibility will be to help me be more effective by assisting with writing blog posts and press releases, creating social media posts, brainstorming, research, social media listening and operational activities.

Deliverables:

  • Write or adopt a minimum of 2 articles weekly meant for distribution to media
  • Conduct and transcribe written/video interviews with talent
  • Create and manage the content calendar for the business
  • Develop strategic content goals
  • Expand and manage the media database where press releases will be sent to
  • Manage relations with media contacts and other business stakeholders
  • Analyse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to determine content effectiveness
  • Research on content ideas and other materials as the business requires
  • Social media listening - monitor conversations around the brand, as well as the social and PR efforts of competitor brands
  • Operational tasks - manage meetings and keep track of deliverables for various projects

Remuneration: NGN80,000/monthly (Gross)


Commitment Expected: Full-time ~ 40hrs /week, weekend work required on occasion
