Engineering Supervisor

Responsibilities:

Supervision & Leadership

• Train and supervise engineering and maintenance staff.
• Assign daily tasks and monitor team performance.
• Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.

Equipment & Machinery Maintenance

• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Ensure all machines, tools, and systems operate efficiently.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or technical faults.

Project Management

• Coordinate engineering projects from planning to completion.
• Prepare project timelines, budgets, and technical specifications.
• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and meet quality standards.

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce workplace safety regulations and engineering standards.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry requirements.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment history.
• Prepare reports on breakdowns, repairs, and engineering performance.
• Track machine downtime and recommend improvement strategies.

Coordination & Communication

• Work closely with production, quality, and management teams.
• Ensure smooth communication on technical issues affecting operations.
• Liaise with external contractors, suppliers, and service providers.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related Engineering field.
• 5–7 years of experience in engineering, maintenance, or industrial operations.
  
• Supervisory experience is an added advantage.
  
• Professional certifications in maintenance or engineering (e.g., COREN, PMP, HSE) are beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering systems.
• Excellent leadership and supervisory skills.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
• Proficiency in technical documentation and reporting.
• Strong understanding of HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) practices.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
