Global Hardware Manager
Job summary
The Global Hardware Manager will lead and continuously improve WASSHA’s Hardware operations by applying ISO 9001 quality management principles within the Hardware (HW) Department. This role focuses on strengthening repair processes, spare parts inventory management, and product failure monitoring, ensuring both product quality and operational excellence using the PDCA cycle to meet dynamic global requirements.

Responsibilities:
Managerial:
- Manage the Global Hardware team and all hardware operations in compliance with ISO 9001 standards at WASSHA.
- Develop and execute business strategies to drive company performance and profitability.
- Oversee and coordinate activities across departments, ensuring alignment with divisional and company objectives.
- Lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams through effective leadership and line management.
Strategy & Planning:
- Translate global strategic goals into actionable Hardware operational plans.
- Identify operational risks and develop mitigation strategies across group companies.
- Drive global standardization, knowledge sharing, and best practice implementation.
- Improve the current Hardware operations from an ISO 9001 perspective.
Analysing Defective Products:
- Collect and analyse information on defective products to identify improvement opportunities and reduce overall costs.
Repair Process and Quality Control Management:
- Ensure efficient supply of the repaired products.
- Monitor and optimize inventory levels across countries, addressing country-specific challenges.
Sales & Marketing Support:
- Collaborate with Sales & Marketing teams to align SCM activities with company objectives.
- Support nationwide sales operations by ensuring adherence to SOPs.
- Optimise promotional opportunities by coordinating with wider campaigns.
Financial & Performance Management:
- Review and analyze financial data related to hardware operations and provide input for budgeting.
- Monitor departmental performance against targets, identifying opportunities for cost control and efficiency improvements.
- Proactively manage and track the progress of supply chain and engineering operations to ensure operational excellence.
People Development & Leadership:
- Build a strong operations and support culture by coaching departmental leaders.
- Identify skill gaps and provide training to staff and managers in SCM functions.
- Encourage innovation and continuous improvement within teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree qualified in Electrical Electronics Engineering or related programs
- Minimum 3 years of proven managerial experience in ISO 9001 management, stock management, and quality control management
