Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architectural design of unit buildings within industrial developments, including production workshops, logistics hubs, office areas, and support facilities.
  • Create designs that balance operational efficiency with aesthetic value, reflecting the practical needs of the end users.
  • Develop intelligent space planning solutions that maximize functionality, circulation, and workflow within industrial settings.
  • Integrate sustainable design principles to enhance energy efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and support long-term operational resilience.
  • Prepare comprehensive sets of construction documents, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed specifications.
  • Ensure all drawings are accurate, coordinated with structural and MEP systems, and compliant with applicable building codes.
  • Work closely with structural engineers, MEP consultants, and fellow architects to coordinate design elements and ensure the structural integrity and technical feasibility of building components.
  • Facilitate ongoing communication between disciplines to resolve design issues and maintain project alignment.
  • Verify that all architectural designs meet relevant industry standards, local building regulations, and occupational safety codes.
  • Proactively address potential compliance concerns during the design phase to streamline permitting and construction processes.


Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field is required.
  • Additional certifications or coursework in industrial building systems, sustainable architecture, or construction management are considered advantageous.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience in the architectural design of industrial or commercial buildings.
  • Demonstrated involvement in full project lifecycles from concept development through construction documentation and site supervision is highly preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of local and international building codes, structural and fire safety standards, and accessibility guidelines (e.g., ADA, ISO, etc.).
  • Ability to integrate these into design deliverables effectively and accurately.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Capable of managing timelines, resolving design conflicts, and coordinating with contractors and consultants to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD for drafting, Revit, and other BIM (Building Information Modeling) platforms for 3D modeling and coordination.
  • Familiarity with clash detection, digital fabrication tools, and construction management software is a plus.
