Job summary
We are seeking a Commercial Executive who will report to the Commercial Manager. The Commercial Executive will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding the company’s non-government customer base across white products, LPG, and CNG business lines. The role focuses on identifying and developing new commercial opportunities, managing customer relationships, increasing market share

Responsibilities:
Business Development & Customer Acquisition:
- Identify, develop, and onboard new non-government customers across commercial, industrial, retail, and institutional sectors.
- Drive business growth for white products, LPG, and CNG offerings.
- Develop and execute customer acquisition and market penetration strategies.
- Generate and convert leads into sustainable business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, distributors, dealers, and strategic partners.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling products and services.
Sales & Revenue Growth:
- Achieve assigned sales and revenue targets.
- Grow product volumes and market share across assigned territories and customer segments.
- Prepare and implement sales plans and commercial strategies.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, contracts, and service agreements with customers.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, and market developments.
Account Management:
- Manage key customer accounts and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain regular engagement with customers to understand operational and supply needs.
- Resolve customer complaints, supply issues, and service concerns promptly.
- Ensure timely customer onboarding, documentation, and account maintenance.
Market Intelligence & Strategy:
- Conduct market research and identify emerging business opportunities.
- Provide management with market intelligence, customer insights, and sales forecasts.
- Support the development of commercial strategies for LPG and CNG market expansion.
- Identify opportunities for new product offerings and strategic partnerships.
Operations & Coordination:
- Liaise with operations, supply, logistics, and finance teams to ensure seamless product delivery and customer service.
- Monitor product availability and support supply planning activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and HSSE standards.
- Prepare periodic sales, customer acquisition, and performance reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Management, or related discipline
- Minimum 4 years (post NYSC) work experience in sales & marketing, business development, or a related role (preferably in Oil & Gas)
- A proven track record in sales, including developing new business, preferably in the Downstream sector
- Experience of working to targets and deadlines
- Personal resilience with the ability to self-motivate
