CCTV Operator Supervisor

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:

• Oversee the daily activities and shift schedules of the CCTV Operators.
• Provide ongoing training to operators on monitoring protocols, system operations, and incident response procedures.
• Evaluate operator performance, conduct regular shift briefings, and manage disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Conduct periodic audits of log entries, incident reports, and video reviews to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Operational Oversight and Incident Command:

• Serve as the first point of contact for escalating complex or high-priority security incidents detected by the operators.
• Direct the communication and coordination between operators, on-site security teams, management, and emergency services during major security events.
• Develop, implement, and strictly enforce control room protocols, policies, and emergency response SOPs.
• Generate comprehensive shift reports and detailed incident summaries for senior management, analyzing trends and recommending security improvements.

System and Data Integrity:

• Ensure the proper functioning, maintenance, and regular inspection of all CCTV, alarm, and access control systems; coordinate with technical support for complex repairs.
• Oversee the proper retrieval, preservation, and secure archiving of surveillance footage for investigations and legal purposes.
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and security regarding all control room data, footage, and access codes.

Requirements:

• HND/B.Sc or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience as a CCTV Operator, Minimum of 1 year of experience in a supervisory, team lead, or senior security role.
• Advanced knowledge of various CCTV platforms, DVR/NVR systems, access control systems, and alarm monitoring software.
• Strong Leadership and personnel management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and reporting skills.
• Demonstrated ability to make critical decisions rapidly under pressure.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
• Must be willing to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, to cover control room operations.
