The Batching Plant Operator is responsible for operating and managing the concrete batching plant to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality production of concrete mixes. The role involves monitoring plant operations, coordinating with site personnel, maintaining plant equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Operate and control the batching plant to produce concrete according to specified mix designs.
- Monitor plant operations to ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to production schedules.
- Coordinate with site engineers, dispatch personnel, and drivers to ensure the timely delivery of concrete.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and basic troubleshooting on plant equipment to minimize downtime.
- Ensure that all materials used (cement, aggregates, water, additives) are measured and mixed correctly.
- Maintain accurate records of production volumes, mix proportions, and plant performance.
- Enforce and adhere to company safety protocols and environmental guidelines at all times.
- Report any mechanical faults, safety incidents, or production issues to supervisors promptly.
Requirements:
- Minimum of OND or Technical Certificate in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience operating and maintaining concrete batching plants.
- Strong knowledge of concrete mixing procedures, weights, and mix proportions.
- Ability to operate computerized batching systems and ensure accurate batching.
- Familiarity with safety standards and quality control procedures in construction or production environments.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with site engineers and supervisors.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in batching equipment.
- Must be physically fit and able to work in outdoor environments under varying conditions.
- Certification or training in Health and Safety (HSE) is an added advantage.
