Guru SEO & Web Design Services is a growth-focused digital agency specializing in high-performing websites for local and service-based businesses across Canada. We combine conversion-driven design, SEO strategy, and modern web technologies to help our clients dominate their local markets. All of our websites are built in WordPress using Elementor, and design quality is critical. We’re looking for a design-first Web Designer who thrives in Figma and can translate business goals into clean, conversion-optimized website designs that our developers can build efficiently in Elementor.
The Role
You will be responsible for designing complete websites in Figma before development begins. Depending on your skill, you may be called upon to help build sites in WordPress using Elementor. Your designs must be Elementor-friendly, well-structured, and developer-ready.
You’ll collaborate closely with:
- SEO strategists
- Web developers
- Manager
- Content Team
- Clients (occasionally, for design reviews)
This role is ideal for someone who loves layout, UX, typography, and conversion-focused design, and understands how designs translate into real Elementor components.
Key Responsibilities
Design & UX
- Design full website layouts in Figma (homepages, service pages, landing pages, templates)
- Create responsive designs (desktop, tablet, mobile)
- Develop reusable components, sections, and style systems
- Apply strong UX principles for conversion optimization
- Ensure designs align with SEO and content hierarchy best practices
Handoff & Collaboration
- Prepare clean, organized Figma files for developer handoff
- Clearly annotate spacing, typography, and interactions
- Work closely with Elementor developers to ensure smooth implementation
- Iterate designs based on feedback from internal teams and clients
Brand & Visual Direction
- Translate brand guidelines into polished website designs
- Assist with branding elements when needed (colors, typography, layout systems)
- Maintain visual consistency across multi-page websites
Required Skills & Experience
Must-Have
- Strong Figma expertise (components, auto-layout, design systems)
- Proven experience designing websites (not just UI mockups)
- Deep understanding of web layout, spacing, and responsive design
- Familiarity with Elementor constraints and capabilities
- Ability to design with development efficiency in mind
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Nice-to-Have
- Experience designing for local service businesses
- Knowledge of SEO-friendly design structure
- Understanding of conversion-rate optimization (CRO)
- Experience working with WordPress teams
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS (for design realism, not coding)
