Job summary
At Praxler, you will work closely with medical students and graduates preparing for the USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 CK examinations, helping them move from studying large volumes of information to applying knowledge confidently in exam scenarios. Your role will involve designing clear, structured teaching sessions, leading live group tutorials, reviewing question-bank strategies, and helping students develop the clinical reasoning and test-taking skills required for success. We are looking for clinician-educators with strong conceptual understanding who enjoy breaking down complex mechanisms and guiding students toward measurable improvement. As a USMLE Tutor, you’ll deliver live tutorials, design exam-focused lesson plans, review question-bank strategies, and provide clear feedback to learners.and take responsibility for specific teaching modules (e.g systems-based reviews, clinical reasoning sessions, or high-yield revision blocks) and continuously improve these based on student outcomes and feedback.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver structured live teaching sessions covering Step 1 foundational sciences and Step 2 CK clinical reasoning.
- Guide students through question-bank strategies, timed practice sessions, and exam-style reasoning.
- Create and update high-yield teaching materials, including lesson outlines, revision resources, and question explanations.
- Design and run mock exams with structured feedback and remediation plans.
- Provide personalised study plans based on diagnostic assessments and student progress.
- Analyse student performance data and adjust teaching approaches accordingly.
- Contribute to the improvement of Praxler’s teaching materials, content library, and academic standards.
Requirements:
- MD/MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
- Strong and demonstrable mastery of USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 CK material.
- Previous experience tutoring or mentoring students preparing for USMLE examinations, or a strong track record of teaching medical students in exam-focused settings.
- Excellent spoken English and the ability to explain complex mechanisms clearly and concisely.
- Comfortable working with online teaching platforms (Zoom, Google Meet) and digital learning tools.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience teaching integrated systems-based learning or clinical reasoning sessions.
- Formal teaching qualification or experience in medical education.
- Familiarity with major USMLE question banks and exam preparation resources.
- Experience creating short-form educational videos or digital teaching resources.
What Success Looks Like In Six Months:
- Students you mentor demonstrate clear improvement in question-bank accuracy and mock exam performance.
- Your teaching sessions are consistently rated highly for clarity, structure, and usefulness for exam preparation.
- Students report stronger confidence in clinical reasoning and test-taking
strategy.
- You have taken ownership of at least four teaching modules and refined them
based on student feedback and performance data.
- You are recognised within the team as a dependable and thoughtful educator who contributes ideas that improve how we teach and support our students.
