UX/UI Designer (Foundational Role – Women’s Health Tech)
Location:
Remote (Nigeria)
About Us
Our company is building a women-centered digital health platform focused on hormonal health, fertility, and long-term wellness for women across Africa and the diaspora.
Our mission is to translate complex clinical and hormonal journeys into simple, elegant, and trustworthy digital experiences—designed with empathy, cultural context, and clinical integrity.
This is a foundational design role. The right designer will shape not just the MVP, but the product direction, brand language, and experience used by thousands of women.
The Role
We’re seeking a UX/UI Designer to lead the design of our MVP—from user research to wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes.
You will work closely with the founder, clinical advisors, and engineers to turn complex healthcare workflows into human, intuitive experiences.
ResponsibilitiesUser Research & Discovery
• Conduct interviews with women managing PCOS, fertility challenges, hormonal symptoms, and postpartum care
• Map end-to-end user journeys (onboarding, testing, clinical review, care plans, payments, follow-ups)
• Identify pain points and opportunities to simplify and humanize the experience
Product & Experience Design
• Develop wireframes, user flows, storyboards, and prototypes (low & high fidelity)
• Design core MVP screens including:
– onboarding & questionnaires
– test-kit activation & results display
– symptom logging
– basic provider dashboard
– care plans & secure messaging
• Establish a cohesive design system aligned with the Agnes brand—soft, empowering, modern, and trustworthy
UI & Visual Design
• Deliver polished, mobile-first UI screens
• Create visual assets, icons, illustrations, and micro-interactions
• Define the digital brand identity (color, typography, imagery, illustrations)
Collaboration & Handoff
• Work closely with the founding engineer for fast, clean implementation
• Prepare detailed design specs and handoffs in Figma
• Iterate rapidly based on user feedback, clinical input, and pilot data
Requirements
• 3–6+ years experience designing mobile or web products
• Strong portfolio showing end-to-end UX/UI work (research → final UI)
• Advanced proficiency in Figma
• Solid understanding of mobile-first design, accessibility, and usability
• Ability to translate research insights into clear design decisions
• Strong communication and structured thinking
Nice to Have
• Experience in healthcare, wellness, fertility, or regulated products
• Experience designing for African or emerging markets
• Familiarity with clinical flows, biomarker data, or dashboards
• Exposure to AI-assisted UX or personalization systems
Why This Role Matters
This is not a “pixel-pushing” role.
You’ll help define how women experience care, clarity, dignity, and trust through technology.
If you enjoy meaningful products, early-stage ownership, and thoughtful design—this role is for you.
