Job summary
We are seeking a highly capable Strategy & Operations Lead to serve as a senior execution partner to executive leadership, operating at the centre of strategic priorities and organisational momentum. This role ensures that leadership intent translates into coordinated action, disciplined execution, and measurable outcomes across multiple initiatives. Functioning as an extension of leadership, the Strategy & Operations Lead brings structured thinking, operational rigour, and cross-initiative integration. The role requires strong judgment, intellectual discipline, and the ability to move seamlessly between high-level strategy and on-the-ground implementation, including engagement with rural communities and diverse stakeholders. This is a high-responsibility position for a mature operator who thrives in fast-moving environments and is motivated by building systems that turn vision into results.

Responsibilities:
Leadership & Executive Effectiveness:
- Partner directly with executive leadership to manage priorities, execution flow, and focus
- Ensure meetings, discussions, and decisions result in clear actions, owners, and timelines
- Prepare leadership for key decisions by structuring options, implications, and execution paths
- Act as a force multiplier by reducing friction, clarifying priorities, and enforcing follow-through
Strategy, Planning & Execution:
- Translate strategic intent into structured plans, roadmaps, and executable workstreams
- Support sequencing, trade-offs, and pacing across initiatives
- Anticipate execution risks and proactively surface solutions
- Track progress across initiatives and ensure delivery against commitments
Project & Program Management:
- Lead cross-functional projects from planning through completion
- Develop workplans with milestones, owners, dependencies, and success metrics
- Drive accountability across leaders and initiative owners without relying on formal authority
- Resolve bottlenecks and keep initiatives moving
Operations & Execution Systems:
- Design and maintain operational systems that support consistent execution
- Establish execution rhythms for planning, review, and follow-up
- Improve coordination across parallel initiatives and reduce duplication or drift
- Bring structure to ambiguity and discipline to fast-moving environments
Stakeholder & Leader Coordination:
- Coordinate senior leaders, partners, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and momentum
- Engage community-based and rural stakeholders as needed
- Manage information flow to ensure clarity and timely decision-making
- Produce high-quality briefs, summaries, action notes, and execution updates
Requirements:
- 7–10 solid years of experience in private-sector environments involving strategy, operations, consulting, or program management
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Operations, Strategy, or a related field required
- Master’s degree (MBA, MSc, or equivalent) preferred but not required
- Demonstrated experience working closely with senior leaders or executives
- Strong project management background with formal PM training; PMP / PMI certification preferred
- Experience managing multiple initiatives across teams or portfolios
- Willingness and ability to spend time on the ground, including in rural communities
Strategic Execution, Project & Portfolio Management:
- Proven ability to translate strategy into clear execution plans, roadmaps, and priorities
- Strong project and program management discipline across multiple concurrent initiatives
- Experience managing timelines, dependencies, risks, and delivery at a portfolio level
- Ability to run execution rhythms (weekly, monthly, quarterly) and drive follow through
- Comfortable coordinating leaders, partners, and field teams, including work in rural environments
- Skilled at turning meetings and decisions into actions, owners, and outcomes
Operational Systems, Executive Enablement & Analytical Rigour:
- Ability to design and maintain simple, effective operational systems that support execution
- Strong judgment in managing priorities, information flow, and leadership focus
- Experience preparing decision briefs, execution updates, and action summaries for executives
- Solid financial and operational literacy to track budgets, timelines, and delivery risks
- Clear, structured written and verbal communication with executive-level clarity
Required Tools & Technical Proficiency:
- Project & task management tools: Asana, ClickUp, Monday.com, Notion
- Documentation and collaboration: Google Workspace, Microsoft 365
- Planning and tracking: Excel / Google Sheets, basic dashboards
- Communication and coordination tools: Slack, WhatsApp, email
- Comfortable adopting new tools quickly and imposing structure digitally
